Jonathan Friedman has spent 42 years working on real estate projects throughout Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. As founder of JemStreet Properties, previously known as Long Beach Equities, Jon handles all aspects of real estate development and home building, from negotiating land purchase and sales contracts, to processing zone changes to interacting with institutional clients and lenders. Jon has created special sewer and water assessment districts for master planned communities and interacts on a regular basis with public officials, both elected and appointed, to obtain needed entitlements. Jon is also a licensed General Contractor in the State of California. His projects total 8,000 acres of raw land which have been processed and entitled for approximately 12,500 residential housing units and 800 acres of commercial land throughout Southern California.
Jon is Life Director of the Building Industry Association (BIA), Riverside Chapter. An active member since 1985, he served as Chairman of the Legislative Affairs Committee, Vice President of Governmental Affairs, and President . Presently, Jon is active on the Governmental Affairs Committee for the Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter of the BIA. He is a graduate of Duke University’s School of Engineering.
